Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. Sara Ramirez was brought up with her American mother. She encountered a number of racial slurs, which led her to feel unwelcome. As she entered the 9th grade she began to feel more secure after being acknowledged by her teachers as a success when she sang at the school's audition. It not only increased her confidence but her ambitions changed. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail were both her big break. Her greatest break came in her role as The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. Following that, she was cast as the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. The actress is also a renowned performer and has published an extended version of her play. As an activist, she works tirelessly for LGBT equality.
